About our Norton Canes Moorings

Nestled in the semi-rural surroundings of Norton Canes, along the little-known Cannock Extension Canal on the northern edge of the Birmingham Canal Navigations, our in-line residential moorings offer an ideal spot for either long or short-term stays. We only accept boats up to 62 feet at this site due to the width of the gardens.

This little haven has a homely feel, complemented by plenty of practical benefits. Enjoy the convenience of off-road car parking, and the rare privilege of a private garden. Many of our moorings here also benefit from a garden shed. We also offer container storage on-site for additional belongings (subject to availability).

There is a water point, electricity, and an Elsan point to meet your essential needs. Solid fuels are also available on-site, and gas is available from a friendly neighbouring company, just next door. It’s a perfect setup for a comfortable, well-supported mooring.

Here at Norton Canes, you’ll find excellent canal connections to some of the most fascinating waterways in the Midlands, including the BCN, Birmingham & Fazeley, Coventry, Shropshire Union, and Staffs and Worcs Canals. We’re close to Watling Street, so we're just an easy drive or a convenient bus ride from the towns of Cannock, Lichfield, and Walsall. There is a handy convenience store, a delightful farm shop, and a Toby carvery within walking distance.
